Cramer's Original Emblemata

Colección: Cramer's Original Emblemata

Three plates from Daniel Cramer's Emblemata Sacra, printed in 1624 — reproduced here as they were engraved, nearly four hundred years ago. No reinterpretation. No new lore. Just the original work, worn.

Illuminor (Emblema VI) — a heart with a single eye at its center, resting on an open book, lit by a hanging lantern. Crucifigor (Emblema XIV) — a heart nailed to a wooden cross, two praying hands meeting above. Revivisco (Emblema X) — a skull crowned with a lit candle, surrounded by crossbones.
